Our annual kayak and dinner event is back!
Enjoy fabulous scenery and great company as the group kayaks through the beautiful Naples canals.
Sunday, Sept. 7
2:30-3 p.m. Check-In and Orientation
3-5 p.m. Kayak
5-7 p.m. Dinner

Everyone will be given a waterproof map for their kayak excursion. In addition to kayaking around the bay and through the canals, you can park your kayak at one of the calm water beaches and relax for while. There is also a cove with "moon-jellies," which are live jellyfish you can see and touch because they do not sting. At high tide you can kayak to see birds at a small wildlife refuge. No experience is necessary.
After kayaking, enjoy a social dinner on the beach at the Kayak Kafe.
Location: Kayak on the Water
5411 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach.
From I-405, take the 7th Street exit to Studebaker (first exit), and turn left on Studebaker. Stay on Studebaker until it dead ends at Westminster and turn right. Cross over Pacific Coast Highway, Westminster turns into 2nd Street. Go over two bridges, turn left on Bay Shore Avenue (first street after the small bridge), one-quarter mile on left side, next to the basketball and handball courts. The kayak hut is on the beach. There is plenty of meter parking, bring lots of quarters (four quarters per hour).
Reservations: Members $28, Nonmembers $33 (includes two hours of kayaking and dinner on the beach). Please be sure to specify single or double kayak when making reservations.
